Helping prospective college students find the right environment to let them achieve their goals is what I do.

 

The Mission

The college application experience should be about finding the "right fit" school for each person, not complying with a "one size fits all" or "Top Ten or nothing" mentality. My goal is to help future college freshman find the right environment for their intellectual and personal growth. I partner with each student and family to help them navigate what can seem like an overwhelming and insurmountable college application ordeal. My method structures the process to help minimize the stress that students and parents feel and ensures that goals and deadlines are met. 

I do this by spending time getting to know my clients and combining their achievements, educational goals, special talents and academic interests with my experience to create a customized application plan. 

About me

Jennifer Rothert Piercey, Founder of OnTarget College Consulting, is committed to partnering with students and their parents to find the “right fit” school which will best enable students’ intellectual and personal development. Born in Palo Alto, California, Jennifer has a BA in History from UC Davis and the Diplome SELFEE from Sorbonne, Paris, France.  Jennifer’s husband, Chuck, works in high-tech. She has two sons, one who graduated from Boston College, volunteered in China with the Peace Corps, and is now working on a masters degree at Johns Hopkins SAIS and the other who is studying marine science at CSU Monterey Bay.

Jennifer is a member of several professional college admissions associations. She is a Professional IECA Member (Independent Educational Consultants Association), and a member of NACAC (National Association of College Admissions Counselors), and WACAC (Western Association of College Admissions Counselors).
